My family and I have stayed here 4 times and would not go to any other hotel as it has a great location friendly and helpful staff. The price is just right for my family of 5 would not really pay any more. Will be staying again. (Extract TripAdvisor April 2014)

“3 Day Breaks”
This is a hotel which I visit at least 4 times per year as a break from business. The staff are always pleasant, efficient and helpful to their customers. Dining is a pleasure with good standard of food and choices for both breakfast and dinner. (Extract TripAdvisor April 2014)

“Great 3 Day Break”
The 3 night half board was excellent value. The hotel is well located and our room overlooked Fistral beach. The room was lovely and very clean. The hotel has a heated indoor pool and sauna which we used. The food was excellent with plenty of choice each night. All the staff are excellent and very friendly. I would happily return again and we live in Cornwall. (Extract TripAdvisor April 2014)

“Great Value. Excellent Food!”
We were not expecting what we found at the bargain price we paid! The Pentire is an elegant, spotlessly clean place with a genuinely friendly staff who offer excellent service. Our room was large enough, with a double bed and sufficient furniture, all very clean and very quiet! We were given a room with a large window overlooking the beach for a small additional charge. There is a pool, steam room, large lobby and a bar, so plenty to keep the family happy. The hotel is located above Fistral Beach. We were very impressed by the staff - In fact we have never encountered such an excellent and attentive staff! The meals were amazing. We would highly recommend to anyone visiting Newquay - real value for money! (Extract March 2014)

“Good Break”
We stayed at the Pentire Hotel last week, using one of their offers. We were very happy with our decision to come to Newquay. The staff at the hotel are very friendly and give excellent service. As we were on a bargain break we were surprised and delighted to be given a room with a sea view; the room itself was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed. The food was good and the portions were fine. We particularly enjoyed the swimming pool and the steam room. The location of the hotel also worked well for us, as we enjoyed walking on the headland and also exploring the beaches and town of Newquay on foot. We very much hope to return to the Pentire Hotel in the future. (March 2014)

'Helpful and Friendly'
Having just returned from a long weekend staying at the Pentire Hotel we wanted to express our thanks for the care and attention given by the staff at the hotel. Right from my first contact by phone to make enquiries the staff have gone out of their way to be helpful and friendly – ensuring that my Mother who is in her ninety’s was given a room opposite the lift making life as easy as possible for her. We were also very impressed with the delicious food both breakfast and dinner and we will certainly return again in the future when we visit Newquay.
With our thanks Patricia Chapman (March 2014)

“Very good stay!”

We stayed here for a night and it was really good. Check-in is not until 2pm but we arrived early and still they accommodated us. We were given room in the first floor with no sea view but it was overlooking the fields. It was obvious that the hotel is old but the cleanliness of the room was outstanding. The room is average size. It was really good value for the money as we also had access to the pool and steam room for free and we had a lovely breakfast. Overall, we enjoyed our stay here. (Extract March 2014)

“A memorable honeymoon week”
We stayed at the Pentire hotel as a central touring base which worked very well. The food was ample & excellent; the service was attentive & friendly. Ask for a sea view room as the views across Fistral beach are awesome! A huge thank you to all the staff! (March 2014)

“Fantastic Break. Great Value For Money”
We stayed for 4 nights DBB. Incredible value for money. The room was clean, tidy and perfectly adequate with a good supply of coffee, tea etc. The food was above average and we did not struggle to find something we enjoyed on each night. Breakfast was excellent, well cooked and plentiful. All in all the room, food, location etc were slightly above our expectations for a budget break. However, what sets this hotel aside from others is the staff. Every member of staff we came across was polite and courteous and most were happy to chat with us. They all looked as if they wanted to be there, nothing seemed to be an effort for them. We have stayed at much higher quality hotels than this but not made to feel anywhere near as welcome as we were here. We will definitely visit again. (Feb 2014)

“Great 3 Night Break”
Travelled from Bournemouth on the wettest and windiest journeys ever on 14 Feb with my mother and brother. We spent 3 nights, bed, breakfast and evening meal. Everything was fantastic - food, staff and single accommodation with sea views. This was our 2nd stay and it won't be our last. Can't fault it. Anne Marie (Feb 2014)

“Daughter’s Wedding - 15th February Perfect”
We stayed the Friday night until the Sunday. We were made very welcome by all the staff. The wedding day was perfect from start to finish. Special thanks to Chris and Lisa, the wedding organisers. All the staff were fantastic and nothing was too much trouble to ask for. Special mention to Louise, Tom and Lisa who were busy everywhere! The wedding food was of very high standard and good value. The service was excellent! All the guests enjoyed the whole day and evening. Evening buffet food was lovely too. All went perfect. Thank you Pentire for a beautiful day with lots of lovely memories! And the sun came out! (Feb 2014)

“Wonderful Valentine's Weekend 2014!”
My husband and I sailed down the M5 on Fri 14 Feb to the Pentire Hotel for a bargain priced 3 night break and for what we paid and experienced would not want to criticise whatsoever. Situation in the best location in Newquay! Accompanied by our 13yr old Staffordshire Bull Terrier Reilly on Friday after dinner all went into the Runes Bar for a few drinks and welcomed by both staff and visitors to the hotel. The staff are all excellent but would like to single out Aidan, a young father and waiter, who was not only a lovely guy but a good tour guide who pointed us in the right direction. We enjoyed wonderful weather on Sat and went to visit St Ives and the fantastic Healey’s Cyder Farm and on Sunday for lunch in Padstow's Harbour. Travelling home on Monday in awful rain we stopped off at the Jamaica Inn on Bodmin Moor to finish off our Cornish weekend. Will certainly return and cannot recommend enough good value for money. (Feb 2014)

“Good Hotel. Would Stay Again”
Myself and my partner stayed at this hotel over Valentine's Weekend 2014. We were pleasantly surprised by how friendly the staff were: nothing was too much trouble. This was also true of the staff in the dining area who were very attentive. The breakfast was great. Dinner was nice, nothing amazing but consistently good. Overall, this is a good little hotel, and I would stay again. (Extract Feb 2014)

“Very Enjoyable Break”
Really happy hotel, all the staff so helpful and friendly, everything was good. Real value for money. We definitely recommend it. Go on give it try! You will want to go again! (Extract Feb 2014)

“We Had a Very Enjoyable Stay”
My wife and I stayed at the Pentire Hotel for 4 nights, January 2014. We have always had good value with Just Go but this holiday was exceptionally good value. Our room was very clean and comfortable and was on the 3rd floor overlooking the front of the building. There was a good choice of meals, all were very tasty and served by very pleasant waiters and waitresses. The entertainers were very good; I enjoyed their shows very much. I am only sorry that our stay could not have been longer and I hope we will be able to return in the future. I would like to thank all the staff at the Pentire for making our stay so enjoyable. (Extract Jan 2014)

“Another good Christmas at The Pentire”
Thats the 3rd Christmas spent at The Pentire and was as good as ever. We really enjoyed the food and the staff are always pleasant and helpful.Thank you and well done all the do work very hard and for value for money, it is second to none. We will return (Extract Jan 2014)

“Christmas Break”
Spent Christmas at this hotel and was very pleased that we had chosen this. Room was large enough for two. Nicely located for our walks. Nice indoor pool. Staff worked very hard to make our Christmas a good one. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Food was excellent. Entertainment was very good. The cost of this break was also very good. We would definitely go to this hotel again. (Extract Jan 2014)

“Above & Beyond"
My wife and I have stayed at the Pentire on several previous occasions - needless to say, it has to be good as we keep returning. My wife is severely disabled and to make things really tricky, she is a Vegan - as you can imagine, our needs can be quite demanding for most providers of accomodation, especially hotels. The Pentire is an older type building and therefore is not built to accommodate severely disabled guests. However, the current owners have gone out of their way to upgrade and enable access throughout the hotel as much as possible.: On all previous visits to the Pentire, we have been greeted by friendly, helpful and efficient staff and on this visit, I cannot praise them enough. All the staff are probably this hotels best asset - a great team and we look forward very much to our next visit.(Extract Jan 2014)
